If your vehicle is currently titled in the state of California, the owner can follow one of these steps:
Go online and complete your California Duplicate Title Application REG 227.
Choose one of the following options:
Bring your California Duplicate Title Application to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
- Estimated time of delivery: 2-6 weeks
- Cost for duplicate: $20.00 If we purchase/pickup your vehicle, we will reimburse you for your $20.00 duplicate title fee!
Mail your California Duplicate Title Application to:
