About CarBidNow and Nationwide Remarketing

How the Instant Bid process works

CarBidNow is how vehicle owners sell a car for cash without listing it, meeting strangers, or driving to a dealership. The company behind the brand is Nationwide Remarketing, a U.S. vehicle buyer that picks up cars in all 50 states. The offer is built for speed. You enter the vehicle details, receive an automatic Instant Bid, and accept only if the number works for you. After that, dispatch schedules a tow provider near you. Pickup is typically 24 to 48 hours out, depending on your location. Payment is a check the driver brings to the appointment, written to you for the agreed purchase price.

CarBidNow has been the consumer site on this domain for 16 years.

Four generations in salvage auctions

Nationwide Remarketing did not start as a generic internet car buyer. It sits on four generations of Colorado salvage-auction and related automotive experience. In 1954, Matt Dendorfer’s grandfather, Ron Dendorfer, established Klode as an auto collision, paint, and towing business. After Allstate became their first insurance customer, the family moved into sealed proxy-bid auctions. Success with that model led them to bring in cattle auctioneers in the early 1970s and run live salvage auctions. In 1974, Rick Dendorfer and Brian Dendorfer entered the business after college at CU Boulder. Around the same time, Carol Dendorfer became office manager, and Janet Dendorfer (Matt’s aunt) led the title department. Brian ran operations. Rick handled insurance and commercial relationships, finance, and investor relations, and brought technology into the company through AIMS, LLC and KLODE AIMS — which became TRACS. The family ran one of the country’s early hybrid online and live simulcast salvage auctions and helped lead the industry on technology. The business grew through that era and was sold in 2008 to Manheim Auctions Inc. as part of an approximately $300 million package that rolled independent salvage pools into Total Resource Auctions, a Manheim subsidiary. Matt Dendorfer founded Nationwide Remarketing at 23 after attending CU Boulder. He later worked at Manheim in business development focused on consumer cash-for-cars, charity vehicle donation processing, and insurance non-total-loss purchasing. He then spun Nationwide into its own consumer cash-for-cars, charity processing, and non-total-loss acquisition model, using proprietary pricing formulas and AI and machine learning aimed at competitive offers. The Nationwide team has now processed more than 100,000 transactions, with industry-leading processing times and strong consumer reviews. That history shows up in how CarBidNow prices cars: an inoperable vehicle gets a different guaranteed Instant Bid, not an automatic rejection. Salvage and rebuilt titles, title help, and lien payoffs are part of the same operational DNA.

What makes the process different

Most people selling a used or unwanted car are not trying to maximize a private-party listing. They need the vehicle gone, the title handled, and payment in hand. That is the job CarBidNow is built to do.
  • Guaranteed Instant Bid based on whether the car starts, runs and drives, or is inoperable
  • Pickup in all 50 states
  • Check delivered with the tow truck at pickup
  • Salvage and rebuilt titles accepted
  • Help with titles and lien payoffs
  • Vehicles bought as long as they roll and the title can be transferred

Who we buy from

Owners sell to us when the car is worth more as a quick sale than as a weekend project: high-mileage commuters, accident vehicles, inherited cars, extras after an upgrade, and vehicles that no longer start. If the vehicle rolls and the title can be transferred, it is a candidate for an Instant Bid.
